How To Make Beer Crisp

Crunchies are a very easy recipe to prepare and for years they have been used to accompany tea for a snack or to complement breakfast.

Due to the various ways of preparing them and the variety of their ingredients, it is unknown what their origin is and who was their inventor.

Flour crisp classics are one of the simplest varieties, and they also don’t take up a lot of time in the kitchen. On this occasion, we are going to share a version with a touch of beer, to give it a different but equally delicious flavor.

The ingredients to prepare these snacks can be purchased in any store or supermarket and, in addition, they do not cost much. Thus, the result is a delicious sugary crunchy stick that will surely conquer your palate and that of yours.

  • 75 g of beer.
  • 100 g of butter.
  • 250 g of flour.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • 150 g of sugar.

Preparation

  • Step 1. First, combine the beer and butter and beat until smooth.

  • Step 3. When a dough has formed, remove it and let it rest for a few minutes.

If you are not convinced by the recipe with beer, perhaps preparing them with cheese or (why not?) Preparing both versions will catch your attention.

Ingredients

  • 100 g of mature cheese.
  • 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs (15 g).

Preparation

  • Step 1. First, preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • Step 2. Second, make a mixture with the 100 grams of aged cheese and the two tablespoons of breadcrumbs.
  • Step 3. After h umedece slightly mix to facilitate integration of the ingredients.
  • Step 4. Then cover the baking tray with wax paper and spread a thin layer of the mixture on it. You can cut it to taste.
  • Step 5. Then take them to the oven for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 6. Remove them from the oven and before they cool, shape them into a tile with a glass or other similar element.
  • Step 7. Finally, let them cool down a bit and enjoy.

Remember!

Although both recipes are appetizers that can be enjoyed as a snack or at some point of anxiety, they should not be abused as they can exceed the recommended amount of calories.

At room temperature they can last up to two days, but the ideal is to eat them immediately to enjoy their fresh flavor and that crunchy sensation that we like so much.
