Final note

According to the experts of the Spanish Sleep Society “the therapeutic approach to chronic insomnia should always be multidisciplinary and include non-pharmacological methods, such as sleep hygiene, physical exercise and diet”.

For this reason, it is recommended that patients with insomnia follow the instructions of their treating physician and, at the same time, maintain healthy lifestyle habits, such as a good diet.

The drinks mentioned here can be a supplement to the diet, but by themselves they are not able to help you sleep each night.

Finally, it is advisable to bear in mind that there are many other natural drinks (such as lavender infusion) that can be consumed to relax the body and have a better disposition for rest. However, these must be part of an entire healthy sleep ritual or they will have no effect.

Did you know that there is World Sleep Day? This is an initiative that seeks to create awareness about the importance of sleeping well and the different sleep disorders that exist, such as insomnia.
