Why every day?

It is believed that by consuming a tablespoon of turmeric every day, you could obtain a good amount of antioxidants that would contribute to the health of the entire organism, helping to reduce the impact of oxidative stress, for example.

Additionally, as anti-inflammatory and digestive properties are attributed to this spice, it is considered that it could be beneficial on a day-to-day basis. It would facilitate digestion processes, prevent (or alleviate) inflammation and other minor discomforts.

Turmeric is an excellent ingredient in rice dishes and stews. It gives them a touch of flavor and a yellow color similar to saffron.

We suggest that you cook it with an oriental style. Thus, you can combine it with another spice (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger) and with various seeds, pine nuts and raisins. On the other hand, it is ideal to take it with chicken or a sauté of vegetables and mushrooms to delight the senses.

Another way to take advantage of a tablespoon of turmeric and its respective health benefits would be to prepare a rich broth with it. A good base can include: onion, a little garlic, celery, olive oil, sea salt and, of course, turmeric.

  • Cinnamon.

  • Turmeric.
  • Cardamom.
  • Grated coconut.

This smoothie is said to be recommended for children and people who have trouble taking turmeric. Its flavor and color will go unnoticed. To prepare it, the following ingredients are combined.

  • Turmeric.
  • Cocoa powder.
  • Very ripe banana.
  • Milk, vegetable drink or apple juice.

Warnings

We must remember that the maximum recommended amount is 8 grams per day in adults. Furthermore, the unsupervised consumption of a tablespoon of turmeric (or more) during pregnancy is not recommended. It can cause stimulation of the uterus and stimulate menstrual flow.

Also, turmeric consumption is not recommended for those who already suffer from gastric ulcers or bile duct obstruction.

Finally, we always recommend consulting with your doctor before starting a natural treatment, especially if we take medication or suffer from a chronic disease.
